Founded in 2007, the CKM Charitable Foundation creates programs that enhance entrepreneurial ecosystems. By leveraging the resources and intellectual capital of CKM, we empower entrepreneurs, create an environment where careers can flourish and support the communities in which we live and work.

In 2010, the Foundation announced its Entrepreneurship Initiative, a global commitment to advance entrepreneurship and all the benefits that it brings. Through our signature programs, we aim to strengthen inclusive, equitable entrepreneurial ecosystems that are both locally customized and globally connected. Our goal is to recognize talent, offer unlimited growth opportunities and reward hard work.

David Wachtel

David Wachtel is SVP of the CKM Charitable Foundation, supporting the Entrepreneurship Initiative and CKM Connects, the firm’s commitment to community service.
Before joining CKM, Wachtel spent 10 years managing marketing, communications and corporate partnerships at Endeavor, a global non-profit that supports the growth of high-impact entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial ecosystems in 34 countries and 8 U.S. cities. Prior to Endeavor, Wachtel had a career in finance and business media, holding various publishing and marketing roles at Institutional Investor, Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal.
Wachtel has an AB in International Relations from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School, an MA in French Studies from NYU and a diploma in advanced economics from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium. He is a board member of PiLA, a fellowship program that provides year-long work opportunities in social entrepreneurship for recent college graduates. He is a former member of the Alumni Council of Princeton University.
